Meaghan found this girl in the yard. I have know idea what it is but she sure is beautiful. She looks like some kind of orb-web, but I don't know if we have them here. How's everyone been?

Awesome pics Kev.

We've all been good (well, some of us).

And you? where have you been hiding mate?

Been around. Things are good here, finally raining. I'm mainly consumed with shoveling out huge piles of snake sh!t. My wife and I are considering the possibility of a working holiday to Australia. Any good tattoo shops there? I'll be looking to do a guest spot for a few months.

We're also looking to expand out python efforts. I'm going to be looking to get into Papuan Olives, Amethystines, GTP's, and if I can find them some Boelen's. I know of a tattoo artist in the province with some. Don't know if he's breeding them or not. Hard to find. I may get into the high end Carpet Pythons too, but I don't know yet. Besides that I'm working on getting my Burms and Retics big.

No new bites, but my eye got pretty messed up last night. I'm amazed those pics turned out half aswell as they did. My right eye was all patched up. I couldn't really see at all. I had a close encounter with a vicous, wild cat here. Evil little thing really. I mangaed to get a pic of it when I caught up to it. Here's it is...

I'm not kidding. He scratched my eye really friggin good. I was at the hospital this morning it was hurting so damn bad. Evil bastard!

illegitimate child!

For the record, I did not type that. My wording was... more colourful.

I havent been good sherm hehe, I am actually banned, but can still post for some reason...

Nice spider.... Nome should know what it is! :D

Kev, give "Wild At Heart" a call. They are in Brisbane (the best place in Australia...not too hot, not too cold, lots of animals, beaches, ladies...). I'll do a search and see if I can find some contact details.

Ya I caught that when it censored itself.

Looks like my python collection will be expanding tomorrow. I'm bringing home an African Rock Python and an Aussie Water Python. Never worked with Aussie Water Pythons, so this should be fun.

She looks like an orb-weaver of the genus Nephila. Which one I can't be sure.

:p

kevyn there is a good tattoo shop here in Queenslands Gold Coast its called skin FX have to be one of the best

There's a couple of good Tat shops in Sydney's Kings Cross, one on Darlinghurst and I can't remember the street name of the other one :( It was behind Bourbon and Beefsteak though if that helps anyone :)

What type of camera do you use Kevyn ?
I just had another look and Those pics are really good !

Thanks. I'm just using a 3.1 Kodak. I need something better. It dosen't do macro-imaging at all. Quite frustrating really. It does take a good pic every now and then though. I'm looking around for something that's really good. I wish I could've had the sun moved so it would have back lighted the web. Stupid laws of physics.

Thanks for all the help on the tattoo shop everyone. Anyone know if Damon Leigh is working in Australia right now. He's a pretty good Kiwi artist and I'm told that he has a shop in Australia. I'm also really interested in learning how to tap.

I didn't know we had Orb-Web spiders here, but I thought that's what it was. You guys have amazing ones in Northern Australia from what I understand. Which admittedly isn't much. Huge ones too, with really strong webs. Can't wait to see some.

Hello Kev.
I hope your abscence hasn't been due to more bites and mutilations from your animals! lol (My favourite picture is the blood head one - so ominous)

We sent up orb weavers in that fateful space shuttle that ended in disaster, but we got the research findings and they made webs in space. I guess we had to know for some reason.

I'm going to post a pic of one of our backyard spiders. It's a St. Andrews Cross.
I've got a red back picture too from out the back.
Em.
