How come whenever I try to click the pics on APS to see the larger version, I just get the white box with the red x all the time. *pouts*

It's just one of the glitches that this sites has.

why are people directing they anger at the indonesian legal system, if corby lawyers had presented the same case in austrailan courts she would have been found guilty as well. The only difference would have been the sentence she received.

The anger should be directed at here legal team as they stuffed up big time. If they had done there job properly the case would have been thrown out pre trial because the police didn't fingerprint the bag.

That'd be bloody right! The trouble with our laws in Australia is that we aren't hard, or black and white, enough on the perpetrator! The trouble however with Indonesia is that they have the right ideals with sentencing, but the wrong approach. In Australia it's a case of Guilty, but exactly to what extent will we penalise the defendant, in the Bali court however, it's a case of guilty until proven innocent! :? Hmmmm makes you bloody wonder!!!!!!!!

The judge/jury has to believe that she did or did not do it beyond reasonable doubt. There is a far too much doubt involved with this case to even think about finding her guilty.

There is no way that in any Australian court she would have been found guilty.

I was up in QLD recently and went past Chapelle Corbys shop, sign in the window said "back in twenty"........

The "bali bombers" got 8 years for murder. Schapelle gets 20 for marijuana that possibly wasn't even hers. Thats justice for ya!

That's the justice for you! Our killers and rapists get a slap on the wrist here! I find it so goddamn frustrating seeing what happens to the creatures swilling in our crime cesspools in relation to time suiting the crime!! All anyone ever asks for is a fair trial and a just sentence to suit the crime.

Want to get me fired up!!? Jaiden Leskie!!!!  :x  The cops know it! The educated public know it! The barristers bloody know it! But hell! The law protects this type of swine!! Our justice system has a hell of a lot to answer for! We're the pot calling the kettle black in regards to Schappelle Corby! There is a stack of things im sure the Balinese look at our justice system with the same disbelief! I still believe, in my own heart, green eyes or not, the sentence is way too harsh for the crime! :?

I didnt start this thread to start the crap up again, but if you are going to say stupid things like that I cant help myself from reacting.

The Bali legal system is a religous and racial joke. In Australia the evidence (THE MULL IN THE BAG)would have been proven to contaminated from the start, the conduct of the police would have been considered, a motive would have been considered, true to light evidence would have been considered instead of being ignored completly.

NOTHING WAS DONE CLEARLY CORRECTLY OR PROPERLY. the so called investigation was not even finished b4 trial started. the whole thing is BS.

How can a Bomber kill 200 people, killed many Aussies and then get a slap of the wrist. & then a girl with dodgy evidence and no motive get 20 years for a plant that was put into her bag.

They are saying you cant blaim the people for what the government or Judges do. I do agree, but the simple fact is > that if any countries Representatives dont show respect or fairnest or consideration for another country the people of that country will suffer for the stupidity of the ignorant & arrogant. e.g Who suffers for wars.

The judge had his small arrogant little mind made up way b4 the trial ended, and remarked about how proud he was that over 500 cases put b4 him in any matter like this was never found innocent.

This is why people are so uppset. Australia as usual out of political so called correctness sits on it gutless hands, While Indo dosnt give 2 craps about what we as people think. The Aussie government will not even try to stop the Japanese from slaying the whales in our waters becuase they dont want to cause ripples in the so called relations between the countries. Why do the other countries not care what we think.

WOW, Sorry for that people but I am so dam frustrated with it all.

A little OT but.... I was lookin at a pic of stranded false killer whales in the tele yesterday, right next a story about japans whaling. I couldnt help thinkin why we dont say no hunting in our waters, but if any wash up, come fetch em for sushi , er I mean "scientific study" !

I reckon it's great, all any criminal has to do in Australia now is say "someone framed me, I didn't do it" and cry a bit and the media will find them innocent.

Sounds like you'll know exactly what to do if something like that ever happens to you Magpie, I'd get me a good lawyer all the same! You could always try losing your memory (bondy approach) or the old oxygen mask (skase hat trick) :D

The only way to make them suffer, actually two ways, is to stop sending Indonesia millions of dollars in aid and secondly STOP TRAVELLING TO INDONESIA. They rely on tourism more than you know! Don't we as Australians have a say where the money goes. We have kids and even families living on small handouts and living on the streets yet we have to send money next door instead of looking after our own backyard first.
Lastly, evidence doesn't lie. Just a shame there wasn't any!!!

Who feels safe travelling to Bali anyway?
