hello everyone
i was wondering how to bath a snake - water temp?/normal tap water?
and how to calm an aggressive snake (jungle carpet python)
cheers

You need to set the mood eg; candles, bubble bath & soothing music lol.

Seriously warm tap water 32-33c. Always watch them when they are in the water, make sure the water isn't too deep. Calming down may never happen but you need to be calm when handling, be a tree don't move or grab the snake tightly and it should handle ok eventually.

Also if you soaking them for long periods ensure the water doesn't get too cold.

I've bathed my snakes esp. when they've crawled through poop.

Just plain tap water that feels flesh warm when I sprinkle it on my wrists..think baby's bottle milk so it isn't a shock for the snake.
Then I just run my hands down it's length until it's gone.
I pop the snake into a waiting towel and blot dry.
No need for soaps or harsh chemicals.

i just run the bath so its luke warm and then i get my snake and gently lower them in with 2 hands doing it slowly so they know ur not just going to leave them in their then i just support their head with one hand and the back of the snakey usually tries to slither forward and they slither around my hand, then after bout 10 mins i get them out and dry them off with a towl :) the first few times u may get alot of hissing.

I line a large click clack with several layers of paper towel and soak with a few cm or so of warm water, perfect for soaking off incomplete sheds or just a pre shed 'spa treatment' if your snake is prone to incomplete sheds

I just use a 55L plastic tub with a couple of inches of water in the bottom, some snakes don't like baths so it can be interesting getting the lid on the container lol. For 1 of mine who really hates baths the only way to bath him, is put him in the container first then slide the lid off just enough to leave a small gap at one end. Then set the temp of the tap, once it's right start filling through the gap.
