Hey guys,
I have read that it is a good idea to give your snake a bath about once a month (is what i was told for my Bredli) and feed them in a different bin to their cage.
My little guy is still getting used to me and I him so I was wondering if I should still attempt to feed them in a separate cage or just wait until he is friendly?

Cheers

Whether or not you feed in a separate tub is a decision that is hotly discussed. It really is a personnal opinion, there are pros and cons for both sides of the arguement.I choose not to, i feed all my snakes in their enclosures, but again its a personnal choice, there is no right or wrong answer only opinions.
As for bathing your snake, again its the same, there is no correct time frame. You can either do it or not.
I do give them a bath every now and then, but only if they have pooped when im not around to clean it up and have slithered through it, or if (like recently) your snake pops its food item while eating and needs the mess cleaned off him.But should you have to bath him/her after a meal to clean off any mess, the same rules apply, leave him/her for atleast 2 days before handling and never leave the snake unattended as they can drown if the water is to deep.
Also the water should be warmed to around 30 degrees.

Good advice from Troyster. The only snake I feed out of its cage is housed with another. This allows me to feed separately and avoid fights or inadvertent biting. I only wash a snake if it is dirty or having trouble shedding. Then I use a cloth dampened with water only.

lf you have a large water bowl the snake will soek in it now and then . Just keep an eye on the water as they like to crap in it and you will have to change it .
