hey all,
so for the past 2 years i thought my bearded dragon was female because thats what we were told, i've just discovered she is indeed a he :|
lately he/she has been very restless and seems to want to get out of the enclosure alot
it is about 2 years old now, im wondering whether the enclosure is too small or whether its something to do with male behaviour
any help appreciated :)

How big is your enclosure and how big is the lizard.... what sort of things is he doing???

he/she is getting quite big, the enclosure i bought i was told would last it for its lifespan... but im starting to wonder whether it has enough space.. my boyfriends going to build it a little run around thing outside very soon.. but im afraid ill have to buy a way bigger enclosure for him.

he tries to run into he back drop that taped to the back of the enclosure.. and constantly tries to climb the walls, wll be much happier after being out of the enclosure and being held.

he is a 2 year old bearded dragon.. but wouldnt be the same size as a normally one as it had stunted growth. the enclosure is tall rather then wide and that is the biggest problem i think

That may be the problem... they like room to move... I have my beardie in a 4ft x 2ft x 2ft
and he doesn't mind that soo much that its not tall but he likes the length....

I dont have a background on my tank at the moment as when i did my beardie used to run at it all the time.... I am looking into a rock ledge wall at the moment as it will give hime something to climb... And its also good for their nails with it being rough they can climb it and file down their nails a little bit.....

A bird cage is also a good enclosure for outside as you can secure it and tey can't get out although you do need to keep an eye on them so if they do escape they don't get lost....
