Hi
I'm new to the forum and I was just wondering if anyone has some advice for me please. I have 2 female bearded dragons and have had them for 3 years since they were 6months old. They have always got along until the last couple of weeks when they started fighting. One has mangled the others tail and it required surgery, so they can no longer live together.

I was just wondering if it is possible to divide a 6' tank in 2 with the heat in the middle or would this cause problems for having a cool area at the end of each part. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I would prefer not to have to buy another set-up.

Thanks Kerry

hi, that works in theory, but i think u will have too much trouble getting the cool side cold enough. u need a basking light anyway, u could put it right in the middle, put a cage round it to square off that space and cut a hole in the wall to fit snugly round the cage, it would just have to be a very low wattage light and have a basking spot high enough for them to get warm under it.

Thanks a lot, I'll talk to my son about setting things up and see how it goes, but I don't think my husband would like the hole in the wall bit.

I couldn't just keep one, they're family. I guess I'll have to go 2 tanks then.

Thanks Kerry

i mean cut a hole in the divider part u wana put in there, not the actual house wall lol. but i do agree that 3ft is still too small, specially for adults. try ebay for a cheap tank. get a 4ft fish tank or something similar and make up a wooden top with vents etc, hey presto, cheap easy tank.

Sorry Bec I'm a bit thick. I have thought about it and I am going to the aquarium shop today to get a cheap tank.

Thanks for your patience

Kerry
