we have a pair of shingles that are living quite happily on dog food, fruit and veggies however i've been finding heaps of the little brown christmas beetles in the kitchen lately (my hubby says they are poo beetles) and was wondering if they are ok to give to the shinglebacks? or is their hard shell bad for the digestion.
also are the big ugly domestic cockroaches ok?
our house hasn't seen any bug spray for about 2 years so i'm not too worried about poisoning.
here are some pics just because they are cute :)

They'd thrive with a few insects in the diet. Hard shelled inverts are great when they usually get soft foods. Just be careful that you don't start a roach colony in the enclosure, it may be worth killing them first so they don't escape your lizards.

cool. i do give them insects occasionally, usually mealworms or silkworms.
will start saving all the poo beetles now!
