Hi All
I am wondering whether it would be safe to pair up a rather large female BHP 9 foot approx with a smaller male BHP 7 foot approx or would i be tempting fate.

If it is for breeding you can as long as you have conditioned them accordingly, But under normal conditions it is not advised to house any of the Aspidites family together as they are reptile eaters and one day you will have either one very fat snake or quite possibly 2 dead ones!

I dont know I have a friend that has been breeding for a very long time , He keeps his blackheads together all year round with no ill affect

When you say conditioned them you mean cooling them prior to pairing them or .The 9 foot female is a friends who wants to sell it and the 7 foot male is mine both are healthy eating regularly, sheding normally .If i am to get the big female is there something i should get him to do in the meantime before i buy her Thanks

Fine ive got a big 9 foot female in with her five foot son getting it on right now...

So i should be looking at pairing them up in the very near future or will i miss this season.cheers
