Biak GTPs in Australia?

Hi all, i’m a bit confused at the moment.
Recently i have seen some green tree pythons from the Indonesian island of Biak, which is not in Australia.
How is did they come here and is it legal to won them considering that they are from an island in a different country?
Also is a license required for the snakes as it states in the NSW Animal keeper’s species list that the Green Tree Python on the R2 is the ‘Australian province” GTP.
Any information would be great.

Long story short - yes they are here - yes you can keep them legally.

NSW has some funny rules around banning new ones coming from interstate, but any already within NSW can be sold and kept legally.

Yeah, all gtps can be kept here. Some are costly though!
