So what does everyone think about what merlin did tonight ?

I personally think he should not get any prizes and that he could have at least spoke if only to say what he thought about refugees !

Think it was deliberate/pre-planned. Instant ww audience. was online within seconds!!
I agree with his protest but not with how he did it. could have done that inside the house.
audience members paid good money for the eviction show and got that instead, no wonder they booed him. I wonder weather he left or they tossed him off the show ?

Merlin got evicted, walked into the eviction show stage with his mouth taped shut and a sign saying "free the refugees". refused to talk to gretel.

If you want to make a statement like what cry boy merlin did you need to at least verbalise your reasons. Everybody has a right to an opinion, but to sit there with yor mouth taped over not saying anything just makes you look like another whinger with no idea. If he had true reasons behind his statement then why didn't he say so.

Maybe he just cares about children locked up behind barbed wire for 2 or three years.
in this regard I agree with him all the way. Deport immediatly or free them! If our security was anygood they wouldnt reach the shore. Very sad that small children spend weeks in a rusty tub getting here then are "Jailed" while the relevent authority a**es around. Thats very cruel in my book.

I wonder if it cost more to keep them in detention for a few years than it would to deport them?? you would think so.

For the money they pay people smugglers to get here, it makes you wonder why they don't try the appropriate chanels to get here.

Some dont pay untill they arrive, then they spend years paying, if they are not caught first.
some are wealthy though, but likely have a criminal record or some other reason that prevents using legal channels, for some perhaps there is no time for legal red tape, perhaps they are from war torn parts or the dangerous trip looks better than life where they are. who knows.
eitherway, they must know Australia is the best country in the world!

Yes i think it is bad for them to keep kids in there but i also think Austrailia has to take a stand and not let them in the country !
I personally think they should be sent back where they come from !

Merlin went the wrong way about protesting and i think it would be a breech of his contract and should lose all priveliges and prizes that they usally get also i think he deserved to get kicked out .
Also has anyone heard him express this opinion on the show before ?
