I have noticed of late that our Blue tongue is attacking and charging at the Stumpys in there enclosure.

I have never noticed this before and have housed these breeds together many times over the last 20 years.

Has anyone ever had an incident like this and also what could be causing the Blue Tongue to do this?

Curious to see everyones thoughts.

Hahahha, I dont know, but man i wish i were there to see it. Especially if the bluey is smaller than the stumpies.....

There all Adults so that makes them all roughly the same size.

It has me and my partner astonished.

our bluey started to attack the beardie in her enclosure last week, she just had a shed though, don't know if that was the reason or not.

Could it just be the time of year and getting territorial?

If the bluey is male, that's definately what he's up to.. I keep a large eastern blue with my blotched blue tongues and every year about this time I have to take him/her out otherwise he/she gets bites and bruises everywhere! They can be pretty relentless, lol

Your Bluey will be a male for sure, they get very aggressive at breeding time and you need to keep them seperated as he can seriously injure the shingles.

I am going to take him out tommorrow he has been charging and attacking all day.

I now need to get a female for him to make him calm down.
