Hi all,
I have a juvenile eastern blue tongue who is shedding today and I just caught him eating some of his already shed skin.
He has been eating well all week and we feed him a good variety of veggies with approximately equal amount of meat (almost always shredded cooked chicken) and a small amount of fruit and juvenile vitamin supplement. We try to stick to the 40% veg 40% meat and 20% fruit diet.
I'm at a loss as to what the consumption of shed skin might mean, whether it be malnutrition or an illness, but as of yet there are no other odd symptoms.
If anyone could shed some light on this matter for me, that'd be great!
Thanks!
