I've had this blue tongue for going on three years and in the last year or two her appetite has disappeared, still has a chunky tail but has eaten maybe 6 times this whole year? I offer her food twice a week now as it was just getting wasted, when she does eat its only a bit. she is still active still basks, just isnt interested in food at all. I've tried veggies frozen and fresh, fruit, cat food, dog food, snails, crickets, woodies, meal worms even thawed out frozen beef heart.. She is in a 4 foot tank with heat and uv. A girl I work with has a blue tongue witch also has no appetite.
Any ideas? Is this common?

You'll need to see a competent reptile vet who could look at the specimen, explore the husbandry methods, know its history and take samples for tests. Blue tounges are strong eaters when in good health during the warmer parts of the year, so something almost certainly is wrong. One blue tounge I saw once that was a fussy eater had been fed a protein and fruit high diet (no crunchy or rough food items) and it had developed a mouth condition, which bled when slight pressure was applied to the gums.

Thanks for that. It was very gradual to begin with, refusing food every now and then then went down to eating once a fortnight and so on Just thought she was slowing down for winter but it continued, wasn't overly worried as she was pretty fat and still active, but now she has lost a bit of body weight I'm getting worried.

Never noticed any bleeding in the mouth, but will admit to ignorantly feeding her alot of can dog food when she was young.
