i tend to go a bit over board with my snake enclosures.

My 2 year old spotted is in an 3f enclosure
and when ever i tell people they think his living like a king.. haha
but if i was locked up all day i would want to have plenty of room.
along with that i hate seeing snakes cooped up in tiny enclosures..

i would recommend just going for a click clack box for while until a little larger then upgrading to a proper enclosure. like 1200x600x600. but for a 6 month old i would be a little big, also keep in mind carpets would make much more use out of more ground room then climbing room.

but at the same time from personal experience a smaller snake in a larger enclosure is perfectly happy as long as there is a few decorations to make them feel comfortable, i put my jungles in an enclosure a little to large for them and they wouldn't come out of the hide but once i added 2 or 3 vines and fake plants they came out all the time and seem extremely happy

I agree with Dreaper - +1
Only thing is, my girl like to get high, so suss out what your particular snake likes to do.

Also my Spotted is in a 3ft as well, my BHP is an 8 foot long x 3.5 foot high, so I know what you mean about space and living like royalty. My Bredli will go into a bigger one later, she is quite content in her one at the moment.

yeah a 1200x600x600 would be a min for a bredli, 1200x1000x600 would be good :)

These are my Bredli enclosure's. First one is the enclosure he was in from 2 months to 12 months and others is his home for a while. He's 5 foot now and 19 months oldIMG_0391[1].jpgexpanda foam.JPGIMG_0392[1].JPGnearly finised.JPGend pic.jpg

oh yeah they will climb i was just getting at ive seen people house them in enclosures that are all height with no length and depth meanwhile the bredli spends most of the time curled up on the ground. but like BlackHeaded92 said it depends on the snake there will always be a select few that don't play by the rules and decide to be a rebel :D
