Hi guys,
I have a mature bredli, she is about 6-7 ft long and I have had her since baby. Never had any issues with feeding her and have been feeding her x lg rats from the same supplier for quite some time now. I have never had her hibernate during winter but just reduce feedings and she has always had heat and had no dramas.

Her last feed was about 2 or 3 weeks ago, no dramas from the same pack of frozen rats. Last night she refused rat. I left it in the enclosure for about 10 min and she sniffed all over it but left it alone in the end. I thought it might have been the rat so I got rid of it. Tried a new rat today and not much interest again so I'll re freeze this one......

Any ideas on why whe would be doing this or should I be concerned at all ?

Cheers for any help
Chris

not to sure about the feeding problem, but re-freezing the rat is probably not a good idea

wouldnt worry about it. might be in the early stage of shedding or just not hungry haha. i wouldnt re freeze the rat either.

I wouldn't worry, coming out of winter, even though you don't cool her, sometimes they just know it's winter. It could also be that she's interested in mating, or a shedding, she will come round soon, nothing to stress about. Keep doing what your doing, it will be all good.

Thanks guys.....

I was about to start stressing just yet but always think better to ask and be prepared rather than leave things too late.

No chance she is pregnant no.....

Just very strange as she has never refused a meal before......oh well give a week and try her again.

Thanks again

they can go like 6 months without food so there is no rush.

maybe its going into shed.
are its eyes milky or anything?
