Hi all!
I just want some guidance as to breeding central bearded dragons. I have 3 males and 1 female. They along with my waterdragond have undergone a cooling period of about 8-10 weeks and were then brought inside to be warmed fed and hopefully bred.
It appears that my waterdragons have bred and that the female is gravid. But I sadly cant say the same for my beardies. I have seen them running around and the male latching on to the females neck and was hopeful but so far it appears nothing.
I have tried her with all three males for a few days at a time and seem to get most interest from one in particular!
Is there any combination worth trying for example 2 males? will this force some competition or cause problems?
Also is there anything else I need to do which might encourage breeding?
The lizards are all around the 3 year mark in age and between 38 and 44 cm in length
Thanks in advance.....
Scott

If they are chasing each other and laching onto her neck, then she will become gravid. Don't worry, it's only early days yet, they mate right up to xmas.

Thanks for that Jason...
Does anyone happen to know of a good herp vet in the wollongong area?
My female has what was just a lump on the heel of her foot but now appears her whole foot is swollen. Best I get that checked..
And any clues on keeping more than one male in with her?

If she has an infection, should shouldn't be bred and kept seperate from the males. Cannon and Ball Vets.... or come upto Heathcote and speak to Joe at Heathcote Vets... I'd do the latter
