Brisbane Reptile Enthusiasts Get Together SUN 21st August

So a few of us are getting together on Sunday 21st August at Mt Coottha lookout, 10am, then migrating to a picnic park down the road. This is what Shooshoo wrote on the matter:

So, consensus on the forums is that we're all an anti-social bunch of misfits. Whatever. Come try to be normal with a group of other 'normal' (amazing, fun, entertaining, generally wonderful, etc.) people and we can share a brew or two and some nibbles.
Partners, kids, etc. welcome but don't bring the boring ones!

BYO BBQable foods, drinks and goodies - I am sure there will be sharing going on too!

If you would like some more details, write about it on here or PM Shooshoo or myself.

Flippin Birdies suggested that it be a bit of a portable garage sale as well so if you have some crap you want to swap/sell/offload, bring it along!

Alrighty peoples, PM me, Ingie or Flippinbirdies if you want more details or a contact number. We will be bringing foods/drinks enough for a few people but if you come bring a plate to share and there will be plenty to go around! We will be meeting at the Mt Coottha Cafe up top, if you want to have someone to look for see the attached image. If you arrive late we will be migrating down to the Simpsons Falls picnic park near Slaughter Falls,it's easy to find on google maps! look for a bright blue honda jazz, we'll be looney-ing around somewhere nearby. There is a good turn out already so hopefully some new faces will present and make it awesome

I just wanted more of the chickies to be involved in this meet up at its a male dominated hobby and I think us women needed a meet up where we were in greater numbers so we can laugh at the silly things men do

Seriously its for everyone but I know some women dont feel comfortable in normal meet ups given its 80% guys. I want them to feel comfortable too

I dont think enough women get to meet with other women to talk about reptiles as its more uncommon in our gender. Men can talk to men about it and its normal lol
