brown tree snake bite

well, people, 10min ago i was sitting at the computer with my brown tree snake around my neck wen he decided to ruin his good reptutation by latching onto my hand. I tried not to react so i dont break his teeth but wen he released his grip he had broken some teeth in my hand. I have been bitten by him him before but only little touch ups. This time i got a full hand of venom. My hand is stinging and all itchy and it wont stop shivering. I guess he was just in a bad mood, coz he wasnt hungry (he acts really different). oh well, i got a full wack of venom but its ok so now i know the true effects through personal experience.

Tough luck Aks. I reckon you should wrap it & maybe go to the doc if it's bad in the morning. All this talk about colubrid venom has got me spooked.

nah i aint gonna wrap it, i started to feel a bit sik and all my arm was heaps red but its clearing now. to tell ya the truth, i hav been bitten by colubrids so many times with no real effects (apart from now) so i am not worried that they hav been discovered with venom.

We know we know. :roll: But mother types like me are allowed to overreact and until I know there will be no allergic reaction, I'd use one - for a Boiga because they are openly classed as dangerous to children and some of us are small, child size almost.

The only time a BTS has killed anyone is the HUGE ones in Guam, when they have chewed on babies heads all night, so wrapping it is totally un warranted IMO. If it was an allergic reaction, he woulda known even before he wrote this thread lol!

lol, nah the teeth werent embedded to much and were hard to see. Yeh brodie, it did hurt as i already hav told u, about 25min after the bite my arm went all bloodshot up to about my elbow and my head felt a bit light but it was cool cos there were sum nice fang marks but sadly, they r now disappearing.
