From what I remember they were introduced from Malaysia during the WWII. There are several conflicting stories - accidentally introduced in cargo/military vehicles, deliberately introduced for food etc.

But they are different to the BTS we get here - some of the Guam snakes are monsters and look more like pythons. They were once thought tp be a separate species, Boiga fuscus. Not too sure what the latest thinking is.......
