The original idea I got from the crazy program Mythbusters on SBS and pay tv. There are many many myths surrounding the herpetological world and I think it is time to bust these. Try and keep to the myths and why they are true or not. Try to avoid arguing as what is true. So do your research and let us know which myths should be busted.

Just to start off

Myth 1: Live Mealworms eat their way through the guts of lizards so it is best not to feed them.

There is no actual records of mealworms eating through the guts of lizard intestines. There are records of mealworms eating lizards from the outside while the lizard was sleeping. The other problem with mealworms is that their outer skin is hard to digest and can therfore cause impaction especially in juvenile lizards.

Looking at this myth once and for all....Busted!!

Go one guys give us your myths

"eewwwww, snakes are slimey"

BUSTED!!!!!!

(quick and easy....LOL)

Goannas, skinks and frogs need UV

many consecutive generations of healthy animals prove otherwise, at least for the majority and probably all species in these groups.

The same probably can be said of many other families, but I don't have evidence... yet.
