Why would you even bother ? I go camping for peace and quite and to get away from the crowds, that's just ridiculous .

I feel ya, I went camping back in late Jan, I picked a spot where I thought there would be no one, went for a walk 8:30 at night, sat by a fire I built for a coupla hours, went back to my campsite at midnight and there were tents all over the place!!! And then the idiots wanted me to help them put their tent up, I said if your stupid enough to walk through 5km of bush at this time of night and not know how to pitch a tent then you deserve to be rained on! I packed up my **** and left.

f that for a joke!

Camped up at rainbow beach a few years ago in non crazy season and it was really nice. ONe of my dads mates owns Rainbow Recovery who pulls those rusting toyotas out once the tide recedes!

We have a place in Goomburra down the road from Gordon Country which is a popular campsite especially for easter long weekend. Its nice to sit on our block with a fire and peace and quiet and watch the other 100s of people drive past knowing they are gonna be fighting to get more than 10ft from their next door neighbour.

Evil.

As long as they congregate in Gaggles on the East coast I'm fine with it. If they come here it's sink or swim.

Thing that gets me is all the toy cars promoted as 4WDs.

Try fraser reef but don't go in taylor season
And I have a 2.8d hilux
And it get all the pison out

Sorry I ment Nissan ops

That is exactly why we head inland for camping during easter and Christmas holidays. The campground we stayed at over easter had maybe half a doz other people setup :D

Man, that's not a holiday, it's a rat race! Couldn't pay me to go camping with other people. Drives me nuts when tourists or backpackers pull up right next to you in a spot that was otherwise vacant. Guess it makes them feel safer or something but geez. They take 2 hours to pitch a 2man hiking tent then expect to come and have a drink while you're making your tucker. And no, we don't want to hear your noise and music until 2am, thank you!
