I had one of my most unusual rescues yesterday. Some kids were playing in their front yard yesterday when they saw a raptor fly overhead with what they thought was a fish in it's talons. It dropped it onto their front yard and when it bounced they realised it was a blue tongue. When it hit the ground 2 babies flew out of it, one was alive the other dead. I got the call and raced down as quick as I could in case any other babies were still alive in mum, but unfortunately all 6 still inside were all dead. The live one died later last night. I have attached picutes but warn you they are a bit gruesome!

Awww its so beautiful, far out I love nature, this is what happens when you protect natives IE: Raptor's... We should keep breeding these guys until hopefully reptiles will win out the birds. the babies are so cute, even the temporary live one.

wow, mum had beautiful colours on her

Thats a different callout. To bad the raptor didnt get to take its food back to the nest.
A meal like this would have been great for the growing chicks.
Hope you didnt waste this bounty.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, what a waste of a good feed. At least it was nature, not splattered on the road for a change.
