Cairns Reptile Vet?

Hi Everyone

Just got a baby Bearded Dragon and wanted to ask if anyone from cairns could recommend a vet -just in case. Nothing wrong with her or anything just if anything ever is that’s all. The lady I bought from said they have never had to go to the vet before. I was hoping to get advice from someone with experience with the different vets here - good recommendations - stay away from - that kind of thing. Anything would be helpful

Don't know any vets up there as I am in sydney, but its always good to plan ahead. All to often people post on here in a panic asking about vet info. Reptiles are good in general as they very rarely need to go to the vet, don't need check ups or any of the regular stuff cat & dogs need.

Thanks i didnt know they didnt need checkups ! i might still take mine in (when i find one) when she is about 8 or 9 months to make sure im doing everything right and also to make sure its a she haha

My recommendation is Marlin Coast Vets near Trinity Beach. Peter Barratt is great with reptiles.

i used to use him he is ok but i highly recomend paul from Balaclava found him very nowlageable other herpers i have spoken to agree

I don't. He knows nothing about herps but will make the impression that he does.

Great to see your thinking ahead just in case.
If your asking about vets before you need them, I have the feeling you have researched everthing else and therefore, hopefully you will never need one!

I was googleing every night for 3 weeks everything about beardies before i even picked her up haha so i am also hoping i wont need one but - can never be toooo careful
