G’day guys
in the process of getting everything set up and cycled for my first turtle. I see the general consensus for substrate is river sand and calgrit. Having a tough time sourcing calgrit. Can crushed coral sand be used as an alternative? Very fine Argonite type sand 1-2mm?
I use it for my Africans and it buffers to high 7’s but I’m not sure if it releases the same amount of calcium for healthy shell development as calgrit?
cheers
