hi all,

i have 3 mountain heath dragons 2 females and 1 male. i got home from work last night to my mum saying that the big female (she isnt pregant, just older) has been layed in the same spot since about 3 hours.. i pulled her out and gave her a little wiggle while she was on my hand to make sure she was dead before i burried. as i put her on the floor in the bag she stood up so i put her under the basking light which is on max at 34 degrees.. when i put her in the tank the other 2 lizards freaked out as they half burried her in the sand as they thought she was dead.

this morning i checked on her and she was hiding under a leaf and she had dug a little hole n was sat in there but i couldnt see her breathing.. i fed them 2 days ago twice in a row and she was smashing the crickets. so m not sure what this could be from..

a few weeks ago i had one of the males die as she wouldnt eat and i tried hand feeding her everyday. then i come home n couldnt find her. then all of a sudden i spotted the end of a tail and realised that the other 3 lizards had burried her.

what is happening to my lizards. i am doing everything right with them..

Can you give us more details of the enclosure, size, uv, substrate, also pics of the enclosure?

i cant get the pic any bigger

i am using a 2.5ft fish tank that is well ventalated at the top with like chicken wire but thick stuff that they cant cut there feet on, using sand on the floor as they guy i bough them off said they like digging so use sand, they have heaps of vines and a big piece of drift wood to climb on, they have a uvb/uva light. not sure what type of heat light it is they have but its maxed out at 34degrees and doesnt switch off its on thermostat, they dont have the water fall or fogger in there tank they have a water bowl that is big enough for them to sit in as they liked sitting in the watrefall water

i will post the pic on my profile so u can look at it bigger
