It's my thoroughly indepth understanding that the fetus (in this case the brain child of a barmy moose) forms first and is then reinforced by the creation of supportive posts (which can also be used to confuse any potential predators into thinking that a lack of substance lowers its use as a prey item).

Just because you haven't seen the line, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I personally am convinced it was the egg, because reptiles and fish and amphibians were laying eggs long before birds ever evolved.

Despite the fact that the Bible says it was the chicken. as far as I'm aware, the only non-fiction book* that actually has that view.
