i have a baby childrens python that i just brought home. He got got stuck on some stickey tape that i was covering a hole with overnight and i dont know how long he was on it. He was really scared and im worried he could die of shock. any thoughts?

Not too much excuse for using tape in an enclosure with all the information out there warning of the dangers.
If he hasn't lost any scales or injured himself then I'm sure he will be fine.

I know first hand how scarey this is :( did he lose any skin? how much of him was stuck? is there any sticky residue left on him? if there is you can remove it gently with olive oil. Try not to be too upset with yourself..... I bet you dont use sticky tape ever again, I used a self sticking item in my enclosure I didnt even think of the silly thing falling off the wall  my snake got her head stuck to it, luckily she only lost some skin and after the next shed she was fine :)

thanks yea i am kicking.myself i stupidly thought he/she couldent get up there. The bottom half of his body that got stuck there wasnt any obvious damage but it looked sore around his cloaca i will examine him again when i get home he wasnt in a cudly mood as you can imagine

Very lucky. I am pretty sure most cases end in death to the python.
But I believe if there are no missing scales or skin it should be ok.
