Hi all. We have a small click clack tub for our MD hatchling. It is 300x200x200mm. I think its about a 12ltr one. Not sure if its the right type of tub though. Can anyone please post a pic of what they call a click clack tub? Just wondering if there is a gap between the lid and the lip of the tub that we have that the hatchy could get out of?? Our tub has a handle at each end that you click over the top of the lid to close it. Cheers

Hey RR,

There isn't really one that is correct and the rest are not, but as long as it is a good size and has no gap between the lid and the container itself, it should be fine.

The type I use (pictured below) is 340mmL x 120mmH x 220mmW, the lid has a slight lip on each corner so that when it is pressed down it locks. These are $6 to $7 from BigW and I have never had any problems in the last 10 months of using them.

Hope this helps. :)

Hey thanks Matt and SW. I've just taken a photo of ours. Just have to work out how to post it to here. Having trouble working out the new Digital Cam.

Sistema makes an assortment of beaut click clacks, largest I've found is 7 litre (pictured) which is 32 long x 20 wide and 12cm deep. Smallest I've got is a 1 litre. Once "clicked" nothing will get out of that lid until you "clack". About $10 for the biggun but you can often find a bundled assorted pack for under $15 at most department stores or cheap shops.

Hey I used one of these to incubate some eggs this year.... well without the holes.

If you hunt around the $2 shops you may find some click clack style containers with plastic latches. I have our childreni hatchlings in some and they are working out very well. They have a very flat bottom which I find helps... if only to get the papper substrate flat on the floor.

I have the same container as Snake W and same here, they do fine in them. though when the snake gets bigger it may be able to push the lid off.

I had my coastal in one until he reached over 3ft and he never was able to get it off, although too much longer and I am sure he would, but I think that at 3ft he was definately in need of a bigger enclusore.
