Hey there everyone, One of my coastals (about 4yrs old) has just gone a bit snappy since her last feed (a week ago), im not worried about being bitten (although it would hurt a bit more now

)but more concerned as to why she has gone snappy? she hasnt had a strike for about 3 yrs and i went to change her water she had a strike at the glass before i even opened it. Could it be she's just going to start getting grumpy or maybe a bad rat in the belly?

Thanks

Wow! I hope mine don't do that. I can guarantee my port macs won't bite. But I guess they can. I would be disappointed the day any of mine bite, that's how confident I am of them but I always know there has to be a reason.

Something must have set her off. Has she got enough heat to digest the rat so it can't go bad inside her? 3 years old she'd be reaching maturity so maybe she has some hormones upsetting her.

When one of our snakes was a little bit snappy we just fed him a little more and bingo puppy dog again but he is a growing snake so this could be why

Not sure about your older girl but may be just may be she is a little hungrier than normal??
