ive noticed the last couple of weeks a dramatic colour change with one of my jungles. up until recently he was quite a bright yellow, the last week or two alot of the yellow has gone almost a golden brown on top. also hos belly appears to be not as creamy, seems to have like a pinkish sort of tinge to it... can someone please help me with why this could possibly be happening. should i be concerned

when was the last shed would be first. and did they defecate properly after last meal?

shed aout 5-6 weeks ago. i thought it may be that hes coming up to for another, but wasnt sure.. as far as defacating, yeah seemed normal after last meal...

I'm not any sort of expert but I wouldn't stress to much if the snake is acting normal. if it starts laying on its back or what not, then a visit to the vet would be a good idea. but until then I would "GUESS" just coming up for a shed.

Photos? A darkening of colour often signals a shed. Many snakes will have a pinkish belly when excited (especially around feed time) or coming up to a shed also.

Ok cool thanks for your opinions. I'll put some photos up tomorrow, both from before and what he's looking like now. For now I'll put it down to comin up to shed...

So it's obviously different light so you probably can't see it as much, but I think you can get the idea

I hope your Jungle is okay, not an expert, by no means, however I do know that your little jungle is absoloutly stunning, nice pattern and colour :)

So my jungle shed last night, his color has gone back to normal. Haven't noticed such a major difference before which is what led me to ask the question... Thought it was due to an upcoming shed but wasn't sure. All good now

Geeze that was a quick shed...my bredli has been in a slow process taking over 2 weeks...mind you he has 7 foot to shed!
