I'm not familiar with The Sims, but in general, games and other programs aren't usually transferable by simply copying the installed files over to another pc.
This is because when you install the game, information it needs to run properly gets stored in the OS's registry. While it's technically possible to copy that over by extracting it from the registry, it's generally not worth the risk involved in fiddling with the registry.
There are, of course, exceptions. Some programs store any info they need in a file/s and you can transfer them about without installing. But I dunno if The Sims would be one those. Doubt it. You could copy it over and try it, but don't hold me responsible if it goes pear-shaped. :lol:
This is all assuming you're using windows. If not, ignore the above, I'm lost when it comes to other OSs. :lol:
