cooked snake

While I was out for a few hours my dad left the garage door up for about 2 or so hours and my male adult childreni was trapped in his enclosure with nowhere to get away from this heat as the Sun was directly on it. He rang me saying my snake was going nuts but he didn't tell me the full story until I got home and freaked and got him out fully limp thinking he was dead and hosing him down then putting him in a tub with a damp towl and water bowl. He looks to be a bit better. But what long term damage can he sustain, neuro ?

First thing is not to panic about it too much
Thats of no use to either of you

damp towel was great
Give it the opportunity to totally immerse if it wants to
just a bucket will handle that
There is a small chance of long lasting problems but not a really big one
Let it tell you what it wants and where it wants to be temp wise
It will find its right place if you let it

He is asking you where roughly you live so we can roughly find out the daytime temps today so he Cockney can help u with some advice.what you super famous and don't want anyone to know?tell us so help can be given.

HI Specks, do you know what the maximun temps actually got to, I do know that hi temps for sustained periods is very bad for repiles, and that the damage is probably aready happened to your snake, I would be going to reptile vet if possoble.

well ive got someone that can come down and help me if need be and thanks for the offers but if it does get a bit worse ill get him to check it out. i had him immersed at the start to bring him down quickly and he is now in the tub still.
i live on the gold coast down near the airport.
the temps would of easily been 50 + for sure as whern i put my hand in their it was really hot i mean i was shocked at how hot it was, could of been 45 or so but bloody hot.

this was really good fucus as when my dad rang he said it was racing around the cage but he is really.... lets say uneducated when it comes to reptiles, he said " i thought they like it hot" and had no thought to think its maybe too hot
