Hi guys,
I really want to get my pairs breeding this year they are deffinately big enough.
what do people think is a good period for cooling and what about daylight hours?
how long before cooling should the last feed be?

last feed should be long enough before cooling to ensure food is completely digested and eliminated. Imo atleast a month, more with bigger food items !

You can adjust daylight hrs with a timer, gradually to match the daylight outside, as you get a few warm days in winter, some give snakes perhaps 4 hrs heat a day , say 10 till two.

I have not bred myself but have been around long enough to hear those who have answer your question multiple times. They will be sure to answer about the period itself, how long etc. be patient. :D

good luck with a response mate because there hard to get on this topic, I visited shane from aussie pythons last week and his advice or the way he does it is just turns the lights off and keeps them at room temperature, so low20s during the day and teens at night, keeps them in tubs in the dark only a little light can enter the containers.

Feed them a good size meal 2 weeks b4 hnd then when it passes thats it for them.

Goodluck
