Hey there

So I have a dilemma, I have a spotted in a click clack approximately (45cm long x 20cm deep x 30cm high). for the past 3 or 4 days she's been in the cool side for most of the day and night. i have a dual probe thermometer that reads 31-33 hot side and 22-26 cool side. 2 hides (1 log and a normal cave looking hide). big water bowl on the cool side. fake vines going across the click clack. shes never been in her water bowl and i dont think the floor is too hot. its heated by a heat mat and newspaper or paper towel for substrate. eats anything i give her too (just switched from 2 fuzzy mice to 1 pinky rat) any ideas why? or is this just normal. thanks heaps.

Snakes don't always like to be hot. If I just quickly snap some temps from some snakes: 26.2, 24.3, 28.9 and 28.2 degrees for 4 different pythons right now in their cages. They could be cooler hotter if they wanted- that's the important thing!

It's normal :) My spotted is constantly in her cool end unless she's eaten. In which case she'll sit in the "hot box" (hide box situated over a heat cord) for a couple of days.

oh thats good. coz im just always used to her being in her hot hide box. thanks =)
