My favourite part was down the bottom in the quotes.
When the guy asks what are pets, this is the response....................
1) No animal that does not enjoy human company, cannot live in harmony with humans and cannot live comfortably in the environment provided by a human home, is a pet.
2) Small fish are OK if you can provide the appropriate aquatic environment. Big fish, mantas manatees and man eating sharks are a no-no.
3) Crocs, lions, tigers, polar bears and anything else that may consider humans and / or next door's kids to be a tasty morsel are a no-no.
4) Eagles, albatrosses, penguins and most other birds are a no-no. Small tame birds that can be kept in a cage are OK, provided the cage is big enough and the birds are regularly allowed to spread their wings around the living room.
5) Big cats are a no-no (see 3) above. Domestic cats are borderline. (They're not really pets, they just share the house).
6) White mice, rats, gerbils, hamsters, wabbits, ferrets and similar small furry namminals are OK, provided of course that they're adequately housed and properly cared for.
7) Nothing endangered should be kept as a pet.
8) Dogs are not pets. They're family and should be chosen with as much care as you'd put into choosing a spouse.
