Protien for humans and rats "should" contain 22 amino acids which make a "complete" protien for healthy living, now with a healthy diet the body will produce some of these aminos, known as non essential amino acids, Nature has several "complete" foods readily available namely meat, fish, milk, and eggs there are others less well known and there are some popular combinations such as brown bread and baked beans, but back to corn there are some VERY popular corn based diets for rodents out there so if using these solely as a diet make sure it says on the bag that they are fortified with (added) Lysine, Tryptophan & Niacin (B3) as a deficiency in these ....if this food is the sole source of their diet can and more than likely lead to a deficiency in performance as some Latin American countries have found out with a desease called "Pellagra" which over a period of time is just plain terrible for skin conditions alone PLUS other side effects .....so by all means keep using what you are if you are happy with it but MAYBE check for these added items if its not specifically designed for rodents solar 17 (Baden)
