I put my Stimsons together quite some time ago, and noticed plenty of mating activity. The male was removed roughly every 7 days and then after around another 7 days was put back with the female. This happened throughout winter.

Approximately 2 and a half months ago she shed, which I hoped was the prelay shed. I still had the male and female together for a short time after this. Nothing eventuated after this shed and she ate twice.

She shed again on 20/10 and i fed her a few days after this, and after feeding her I noticed that she was laying half on her side/back. I have now seen her basking a few times belly up, see attached photo from last night in her hide box. She does not seem overly big, and I cannot see or feel any eggs in her, but apparently this can be hard to tell with the Childrens species.

Given that she has now shed twice, and has fed since the last shed, is it possible that she is Gravid?

yes it is possible....but not definant. my mates stimsoni has shed 3 times now and is imo definately gravid. i have heard and seen a few animals have unusual numbers of sheds this season before egg deposition.
best of luck, keep an eye on her and just wait and see what happens. best to be prepared though, dont want to give up on her and find eggs when your least expecting them.

I thought you were not ment to feed gravid snakes?

Normally if they were gravid they will not feed, but some will continue to feed anyway. If you know they are definately gravid you would not offer them food.

My Female stimsoni is doing all the same things except she won`t take a feed, I have no fricken idea whats happening!!

With ours we couldn't tell she was gravid and she had done two sheds, but about two weeks before she laid her eggs we ddi notice there was gaps between her scales in the bottom third of her, as it got closer to egg laying time the gaps got closer and closer to the cloaca to the point the night before she laid i told Damien that it looks like she will drop anytims as the scales right near her cloaca was gaping now, yep i was right the next evening she laid.

Does yours have any gaping between the scales? when you hold her does she protect her belly?

Its possible. I have had animals eat while gravid, in one case didnt even know till I came home to a pile of eggs....
