OK... so i have a few questions that in my mind are not quite answered, Im looking to set up an indoor enclosure for my Jackies over winter, they have had the run of an avery up untill now and im a little lost in translation.

Im lost in that i must make ersats naturale conditions with human built gear...

I have obtained a 40w 40X60 heat pad for a basking area and 2 diff globes a 13w and a 26w both compact fleuro (wasnt sure so went bigger and smaller) The indoor enclosure will be 3'X3'X2' a shadow of their avery. I understand basic keeping but have always gone natural and let the little blighters heat themselves. I know this may sound like a bad question but i really want a second or third oppinion on artificial culture. also have a thermostat to regulate.

Can i just sandwich the heat pad between foam and tiles for a basking area? Reptapets instructions are vague...They specify poly something that doesnt register on google.

I will be leaving the diomonds out in the elements as usualbut my Daughter really wants Frank(ONE OF THE MALES, I CANT TELLTHE DIFF) to live inside this year and maybe forever. If he comes in the whole colony may as well join him.

thats what i thaught but their spelling of it is terible

Im going to start the enclosure this week so have a couple of more questions will the UVB globe be fine 300 above the heat mat

and how big will the venterlation holes need to be? i have a 50mm hole saw so was thinking 3 of these each side, is there a best position for them eg close to floor or roof or centre or one in each position?

cheers
