Hi, We are just getting to breeding Crickets as well as our Rodents. Can you please tell me the EASIEST way to clean out the tubs without all the little buggas escaping? All input welcome. Thanks in advance. Cheers Cheryl

make your tubs out of malamine and make the sides high... they cant climb it and it keeps them inside

We already have our crickets in 60 litre plastic tubs with a hole cut in the lids for the air(with metal flywire glued in). I was wondering about when we clean out the egg cartons(I guess we have to shake the crickets out?) What is the best way to clean the bottom of the tubs with out the crickets getting out? We have extra tubs, so could we work out something with them? Grrrr!! not sure what to do?? Cheers Cheryl

There is no EASY way Cheryl. Just tip em all out of the egg trays and scrape tgunk out of the bottom, not a nice job at all which is why I breed cockroaches :) A credit card, (preferably expired), is what I find to be the best to get all the crap out of the bottom.

Hey, africa, sorry I didn't get back to answering your post. I think we've got it worked out now. We've got thousands of crix coming on now. Have to heat up the crix, woodies and mealworms now this time of the year. Gas is soooo expensive tho hey. Might be cheaper to put a light in each tub for warmth hey? Cheers Cheryl
