Does anyone here have a dash cam? if so what brand and where you got it from. I'm sick of people treating my little Rose (Mini Mayfair) like **** on the road. I'm currently waiting for a windscreen replacement from the last *******! it's going to take weeks but thankfully covered by Shannon's!

PS SHannon's insurance is the BOMB! If you have an unusual/ rare/ tweaked ride I can't recommend them enough! PS you speak to aussies too LOL

The quality is excellent. Where did you get the GoPro From? Bikes would need cams just as much if not more than me. I'm so sick of being cut off etc. I understand I'm in a micro car but FFS IT's bright red!

Fantastic link Ambush, thanks heaps for that one! I wonder if it affects your premium if you inform your insurer of a dash cam? hmmm

Ebay. It's a great little thing, very small. It sits on a suction cup mount on the tank. I've had plenty of people fail to give way to me at roundabouts but they do that to me in my car too, the key is not to trust anyone. I've only been riding for about 6 weeks, and as of yesterday I've traveled 450 kilometers on the bike and my experiences have been great!

I am also interested in these, I figure if I am ever in an accident and have video evidence of what happen it should help if I'm not in the wrong. I have also been driving behind people that just lob rubbish/maccas bags out the window or just driving eratticly/aggressivly/stupidly and would love to drop a video off at the copshop if it meant they would get pinged.

Cheers
James

Agreed James! And Tahlia I don't trust anyone when I'm driving! so far (touch wood) I have avoided being in accidents but lately I have actually been fearing for my life. I would so drop off a vid if I knew the blobs in the copshop here would do anything about it!
I wonder if some of them continue to record if you're away from the car. They would be good if you park at the shops!

I highly recommend the Gopro..

I use mine for free diving and have some amazing videos of various creatures in the ocean.

Drop these guys a line... [email protected]

I had a GoPro from them before and upgraded to a Drift HD both are excellent cameras and both can be supplied with windscreen mounts. Last time i compared them the Drift had the better optics but the upside is you get a water proof case with the GoPro that lets you use it to 5m if you are on holidays and want something like that.

Oh cool! I was impressed when I found out these cameras could be used underwater even though I may never use it for that. They're tough too, I accidentally dropped my camera on the concrete in the garage and it didn't do anything to it. The sound quality is also really good, it catches the sound of my bike's engine instead of the wind noise... until I go up to 100. :D

Even if I was to buy a GoPro or even the most expensive one of the autoblackbox website it is still cheaper than my excess, bonus is you can video all you and you mates crazy driving antics (4x4 off road and all legal of course)
