hey i have a male diamond python kept outside that is yet to feed since going into hibernation. Because he didnt feed within a few weeks of coming out of hibernation i introduced him to my female and am pretty sure he did the deed. I have tried feeding him rats and mice but all he does is smell the scruph of their neck and them move along. Should i try him on another food source eg quails rabbits or should i try scenting the food item. also i have tried frozen and immediately stunned rats and mice.

It's still very early in the feeding season for diamonds. Just try him every couple of weeks and you'll most likely find that he will start feeding as the weather warms up.

I had the same problem with my adult childrens python.......I had live mice in a shoe box that made the box have a really strong rodent scent......I wiffed the box around him and he reared up and was ready for a feed

He would still be in breeding mode so probably wouldnt eat anyway, thats what my old male diamond would do around sep/oct .Is he pacing his cage?

him and the female have been rapped up a few times together but now i think he is starting to loose interest

A lot depends on your temperatures way down there
[heard there was low temps and heavy rain?]
I had diamonds outside in Nelson Bay
They frequently did the same thing during cooler spring periods
Add the breeding and there is no problem at this stage
Just a shame they don't like it too much up here
[Real diamonds are the best looking python in Oz]
