Out 9 month old male diamond python is suddenly off his food...he is on fuzzies and we have tried him with smaller mice but he just isnt interested....he spends most of the time hiding only coming out very rarely at night....any ideas please?

Some more info please, temperatures in cage-what sort of cage+dimensions-the last time it ate-the majority of snakes should be scoffing down food this time of year..MARK

Temp is 29-30. enclosure is 3X2X2ft in a timber with glass front, 2 75watt heat lamps and "blue" UV tube. The enclosure is the ones with the cabinet underneath. Last ate about 1-2 weeks ago...thanks Mark

IMO the cage is way too big, however it has eaten before it this cage. How many times has it eaten for you,how long have you owned it...1-2 weeks isnt a problem at all, they can go off food for a long period of time, some of my adults dont eat for 4-6months...But considering its only 9months old IMO i would leave it be and try again in a week or two...MARK

Hey i wouldnt worry, my diamonds are similar, i brought my male and female at the same time they would be 9months also, my Male is double the size of the female now even tho when i brought them they were equal, my female decides some days she doesnt wanna eat, she is a little tricky, the only snake i have that even when she wants to eat will take ages and ages to take the food.

But as mark said dont worry leave another week and try again.
