Did anyone watch Sunrise this morning?

Just wondering what you all thought about Sunrise this morning. The weather guy was in some country town and said how his grandfather(I think or maybe father) used to get brown snakes and pick them up by the tail and then swing them around and crack them like a whip.I thought it was horrible.But is that possible?Cause I thought that the brown snakes would turn around and bite him.

yeah over the yers you hear some strange things, most are old wive tails
