just a quick question with the digital thermometer and hygrometer form the herp shop the one that costs 30 bucks, do you have to program the humdity and temp or do you just leave it? cause the temp will change but the humidity stays at 99% wich might of been right when in the incubator but now its out and its staying the same n not changing even when i take the battery out?

any help would be good thanks.

cheers jake

Yeah I had one that did this after I put it in the fridge to test the humidity sensor. I think it comes from water getting into the probe. Just make sure it has dried out completely

must have been that just checked it this morning and its at 53 or somthin must have just been the water but how are you ment to use it in a incubator if that heppens everytime then your not gettin a tru reading? thanks for the help aswell.

Yeah that is a bit worrisome. You might not be able to use that brand for incubators? Herpshop also sells pretty cheap analogue ones...

yea thats what i was thinkin that sucks haha just bought it to lol oh well ill have a look around for a differnt one any ideas?

The analogue ones are fairly accurate even though they aren't very technological. I haven't incubated before though so I don't know which electronic ones would work for that purpose sorry
