But there is always this amazement that "Lower" animals make good parents, dispite being surrounded by bees, wasps and ants.


And the always ignore fish, if you every want to do a spectacular display on family care set up a large aquarium (1800 mm plus) and place in a dozen princess cichlids ( http://www.adelaideaquariums.com.au/Faqs/freshwater/fish/africich/princess.html don't believe the crap about being peaceful ) and some raindow fish as dither fish. After the murders have finished you will have a breeding pair. Not only do the parents look after the young but the young from previous spawnings also look after their smaller siblings. Eventually you end up with this dome, with the larger offspring on the outside and the young getting smaller and smaller until the newly hatched in the centre.
