hi i just wanted to no some of the diurnally (day time active) snakes availble to nsw as i would like to purchase some i havent been able to find out any info on the web thanks heaps.:D

Common Tree Snake - Dendrelaphis punctulata
Slatey -Grey Sake - Stegonotus cacullautus

These are non-venomous colubrid snakes class 1 as I presume that is what you are looking for.

Hope this helps.

Regards. Ewan.

ok thanks do u no of any breeders where i might b able to purchase a common tree snake? thanks

ha good luck with finding someone willing to part with a common tree snake. and if you do find one, let me know!

your best bet would be to stalk RDU or herptrader... they pop every now and then... however they can be a pain to look after. eg, to get feeding on rodents and stuff.

ok fair enough lol will look in2 it thanks for every'1's help if any one else nows of any other day time active snakes could u please let me no

Despite the title it seems they are not very common in collections. I have never kept one but I know an inexperienced keeper who has had at least 2 perish in his care. Known to be difficult to have feeding on rodents. Much of their diet is made up from frogs and lizards. Maybe do a little more research first.

Regards. Ewan.

Do you have a NSW species list? Maybe you should go and take a look at it. There are other Diurnal available on the list of the mildly venomous variety.

thank u ewan just printed out species list of this year wasnt sure where to find one but have it now i was lookin on the net for about 3 hours last night and i couldnt find much on durinally snakes so thought i would ask the experts thanks again:D
