Hey All,

Just came back from the vet as I have a Thicktail that has been gravid since 24/10/10 was the first signs of being gravid see pic1

29/12-10 pic3

He rang another vet but nothing and am waiting for a call back :(

Oxytocin was suggested to him but he thought because she is still going about her business feeding/pooping she was technically not in Dystocia. (Egg bound)

Here's the gig...

I had her with another female up until 4 days ago as my first pair of thickies layed with male/female together and stupidly thought the company would be ok as it's a female and won't hassle her..This most probably is the problem but checking in to get some advice.

On her own in a tub now,.. 45cm x 30cm's cool end around 23.5c hot end 30c

1 Breeding box with dampened sand/coir peat half on half off the hot end.

1 hide in cool end.

put her in a lay box with a lid without a way out , has worked for me in the past

they soon start digging to get out then something snaps and they lay

was recommended to me by a good friend and should only be used as a last resort

try taking the lay box out and putting more sand in her enclousre/tub

oxytocin should be used as a last resort and don't expect to have the adult after its used and they generally respond poorly from it from most accounts

Well I tried over night the above mentioned idea but to no avail.....does anyone have any other suggestions?? I don't want to loose her.
