Interesting, for all of the people who posted derogatory remarks about Jesus and the christian belief system on which easter solely exists. You have just made yourselves hypocrites, you take part in the tradition but ridicule the foundation on which it stands.

you dont know how wrong you really are. Your so wide of the mark its silly. Easter is and was the time of year when spring sprung in the northern hemisphere and as you can imagine this unfold all sorts of merry frolicking and rituals. as is usual with organised religions you will notice that they all have corresponding festivals that coincide with the beginning if spring in the northern hemisphere. They just absorb other rituals and make them their own. look at Catholicism in Central and Sth America. The name derives from Ishtar from which is derived Ester. :wink:

You shouldn't get yourself wound up by peoples jokes around Easter.
Not everyone is a believer, and it would be wrong to think that you could stop people joking around about Jesus etc..

I do believe in God, but can also see a funny side, as Easter is to 99 % of the population become more about commercialization, where you buy and give presents and egg's, and have a few days off, Christmas is the same to so many to.

Please don't take it personally, lifes to short to get angry with people on a Reptile forum.
