I was out on a reef the other day replacing my clean up crew, (shrimp and trochus and other molluscs) (the fish get them sooner or later) and I caught this little bloke. He's an Eel blenny but he's not an eel or a blenny, actually a serpentine Dottyback.

Already feeding, sorted out his place in the fish heirachy and has great curiosity. They get to a meter long and are voracious predators but it will be a while before he can eat any of the current residents.

He's no cephalopod but can change colour very quickly.

I've just set up my file snake tank, planting mid-week and the young fella arrives Satdee! I love it when the zoo expands!

Hope Nemo is safe from that Loch Ness monster :)

For a few months at least, I am rebuilding the tank this Dry season, if he's problematic I'll take him home

And that sweet little Nemo bites me every time I have a hand in the tank!

Dotty looks very cool :)

Love the look on Nemos face in the 2nd pic = Dad's bought a playmate home for me

say bye bye to nemo! om nom nom nom

He's much more interested in brine shrimp atm. That will change. Nice to have him/her on board though. When you get close to the glass he comes out to suss you out.

thats cool looks like one i ccaught but mine was a bit different does yours have big teeth that look a bit like fangs?
