I keep them, but have only done so for the last year, thus too young to breed. Treat them pretty much as a cunningham but with some extra heat. They love their food!!!
I just run heat cord under half the tank, under the sand. they have a hide rock that heats up like an oven as it holds the heat, and they pretty much stay in there. They usually only come "out and about" at night funny enough, though if you heat them with a spot lamp you will see more of them.
